PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Free School Meals for All Students
Saints Peter & Paul School (Williamsville) & Christ the King School (Amherst)
We are pleased to announce that Saints Peter & Paul School and Christ the King School participate in the New York State Child Nutrition Program’s Universal School Meals initiative for the 2026 academic year.
What This Means for Families
All enrolled students at both campus locations are eligible to receive one healthy breakfast and one nutritious lunch every school day at no cost to their families.
- No Application Required for Free Meals: Under this new state-funded expansion, families do not need to submit an income eligibility form to receive these daily meals for free.
- A Commitment to Excellence: We believe that healthy meals are a cornerstone of academic success. By providing universal access to nutrition, we aim to support the physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of every student in our community.
Menu & Nutritional Standards
Our meals meet strict federal and state nutritional guidelines, ensuring that students receive:
- Whole grain-rich foods
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Low-fat or fat-free milk
- Proteins that fuel a full day of learning
Additional Information
While meals are free for all, schools may still request that families complete a Household Income Form. These forms are vital for securing additional state funding for our schools, such as technology grants and student support services. All information shared is strictly confidential.
Note: "Extra" items, such as second entrees or separate snacks/bottled water, may still be available for purchase via the school's existing point-of-sale system.
