Christ the King School (CTK) follows the curriculum guidelines and the Core Curriculum learning standards issued by the New York State Education Department as a basis of instruction. These guidelines are enhanced through curricula published by the Catholic School Department of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. CTK encourages the cross curricular integration of subject material among teachers and grade levels. Curriculum material that is presented is aligned with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
The core subjects offered at CTK are: Religion, Reading, Language Arts (including Phonics, Handwriting and Spelling), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. As part of our curriculum, we also offer Art, Latin, Spanish, Music, PE and Technology/Computers.
At CTK School, we strive to form the whole child within our educational framework. Our goal is to partner with parents/guardians to meet the spiritual, moral, academic and physical needs of each child. We encourage our students to know, to love and to serve God and His creation.
Christ the King School graduates go on to attend High School at Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, Mount St. Mary Academy, Nardin Academy, Nichols, St. Mary's High School (Lancaster), St. Joseph Collegiate Institute, Canisius High School, Amherst High School, and Williamsville High School.
