Christ the King School (CTK) is a STREAM school. STREAM stands for science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and mathematics. It expands on the concept of STEM, adding the arts and religion. The goal of STREAM is to prepare students for a 21st century world. Students are engaged from an early age and may study subjects like robotics, architecture, space exploration and technical design wrapped around a values-based education. STREAM makes learning relevant, emphasizes interdisciplinary connections and empowers our school to create partnerships with local businesses.
CTK is also designated as a STREAM Academy (SA). This means that workshops on various topics are regularly held to supplement the STREAM school programs, such as: coding, kitchen chemistry, arcade game building, launching a business (lip balm), and more. STREAM Academy provides the opportunity for a new generation of believers, innovators, scientists and leaders to emerge.
STREAM Academy courses provide creative, hands-on opportunities for students. The focus is on inquiry, creativity, complex thinking and fun! The Academy emphasizes education learning areas and nurtures the innate curiosity of every child. SA provides opportunities for the next generation of believers, innovators, scientists and leaders to emerge!
