The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning.
At Christ the King School our NJHS organizes and executes several events each year. We hold an annual walk with the entire school community to raise money for a chosen charity. In the past we have walked for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, Special Spaces of Buffalo and The Hope Center. NJHS sponsors an annual food drive for St. Vincent de Paul Society in the neighborhood surrounding our school. NJHS members serve every year as waiters and waitresses at the Sisters of St. Francis Spaghetti Dinner. We are always looking for new leadership and service opportunities within our school and community.
