First Lego League

First Lego League introduces younger students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. First Lego League teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society.

Meetings start in late September and for roughly 8 to 10 fast-paced weeks, teams work as a group to overcome obstacles and meet challenges. Teams work to find creative solutions to the problems presented to them in the FLL Challenge. They then compete in optional local and regional tournaments where they celebrate their accomplishments with other FLL teams, family, and friends.

Open to students in grades 4 - 8.
